When one of my favorite blogs, sportslogos.net, announced a contest to rebrand the Washington Football Team, I was all in. After doing some research, I settled on Red Wolves because of their connection and history in the area. The Red Wolf has a historic range that covers the entire DMV, and it was added to the endangered species list in 1967. Maybe the tie-in to the a professional team would give the Red Wolf a more prominent profile to help the apex predator a comeback.

I created a graphic pattern that uses existing color palette from Washington Football Team’s past, and the three stars from the flag of Washington DC.
